Factoids: Gary Pearson (Gillette WY) and Jimmy Bumbaca (Decker MT) are erecting a new eight lane bowling alley to be completed by Sept 15, 1961 on land purchased by Art Schelldorf.
Premo Bartot was the co-owner and manager of Sundance Lanes when it had its official opening Nov 25, 1961 with 300 in attendance.
Omar P. (Bum) Butzer was the manager of Sundance Lanes from August 1962 through 1964.
A fire destroyed three alleys and the building had significant smoke damage on July 24, 1964, presumed to be arson.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Thiemann from Spearfish SD purchase the lanes in August 1965 and rename to New Hope Lanes by September 1969.
The Thiemann's announce they are dismantling the bowling alley for a new location in Spearfish SD during July 1969.
